Final Friday Comes to OTR

An event guide as Final Friday takes over OTR tonight complete with music, art and food. All events are beautifully free to attend and many storefronts will be lit up festively for OTRAglow.

Here is a list of what’s going on:

atomic number ten will be open late and have a lot of vintage coats and sweaters (perfect for gifting). (6-10pm | 1306 Main Street)

 

MOTR Pub brings you musical love by  Mr. Gnome, Shadowraptr and an art exhibit by Jack Holland  (7-12pm | 1345 Main Street)

 

Park + Vine is will have a kickoff reception for their ‘Here is a Green Building’ banner series in support of many civic groups in Cincinnati  . (6-10pm | 1202 Main Street)

 

Original Thought Required will have good music, discounted clothes, and good people all night long. (6-10pm |  1307 Main Street)

 

Substance Clothing OTR will be open until 10pm and have experts on hand demonstrating holiday tips for hair and makeup. (6-10pm | 1435 Main Street)

 

1305 Gallery will have homemade gifts for their ‘Eighth Annual Gift and Art Show and Sale‘ (6-10pm | 1305 Main Street)

 

Spotted Magpie will feature new artist Sarah Casnellie’s paintings on reclaimed wood, as well as holiday shopping items. (6-10pm | 1420 Main Street)

 

Iris Book Cafe will be offering 10% off all books, magazines and records for their Holiday sale. (6-10pm | 1331 Main Street)

 

Coffee Emporium will be serving up delicious drinks and showing off their storefront decorations (6-9pm | 110 E. Central Parkway)

 

Clay Street Press will have a Holiday Print Sale – on the wall art is $100 or less. (6-9pm | 1312 Clay Street)

 

Venue 222 will have an artist reception featuring Carter Hammond, Shelby Hine and Dick Waller. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine for purchase. (6-10pm | 222 E. 14th Street)

 

MiCA 12/v will have Cincinnati pen and ink artwork by K Scott Enns and poetry readings from Nick Barrows and Mark Flanigan (6-10pm | 1201 Vine Street)

 

Washington Park will be filled with singing as ‘Caroling in the Park’ sings songs of the season. Featuring various local choirs in the renovated bandstand. (6-8pm | Washington Park)

 

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will feature the magical jazz moves of Branford Marsalis followed by a secret event that can be found only by following their clues. True speakeasy style. (10pm | Music Hall | TBD)

UPDATE 2:06pm: CSO Speakeasy Event has sold out. We’ll never know the secret location.

 

OTRAglow kicks off tonight with decorated storefronts and residential windows. Judging will take place all this week, with a celebration party on December 8th. (Complete OTRAglow Competitor Map)

 

The Pendleton Arts Center is having an art opening for “Family Roots” – a gathering of family and friends to celebrate their roots. Studio 701-703. (6-10pm | 1310 Pendleton Street)

 

Mind’s Eye Art Gallery will have their last opening of 2012 featuring artist Karen Brown (1205 Pendleton Street)

Smartfish Studio will be hosting the ‘Merry & Bright Remix’ for Final Friday, welcoming back favorite artists and designers that have been featured already. Great for the gifting season. (6-10pm | 1301 Main Street)

 

You Do Yoga is hosting Acro Yoga to soothe you all night long. (7pm-10pm | 1319 Main Street)

 

Switch Lighting and Design is hosting an inaugural art exhibit by local artist Max Unterhaslberger inspired by “the streets, the city, and urban aesthetics bold graphic patterns…” The event is hosted by Urban Impresario, a non-profit agency that aims to support burgeoning artists professionally. (5-9pm | 1207 Vine Street)

 

Sarah Center will have their ’Annual Holiday Sale’ of everything from pottery to quilts. This continues all weekend. Buy some goodies for a good cause. (10am – 6pm | 1618 Vine Street)

 

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati continues their acclaimed musical run of Alice in Wonderland. (7pm – $Ticketed Event | 1127 Vine Street)

 

It’s a safe bet that if you wander around OTR, you’ll find more greatness.
