The Anchor-OTR seafood restaurant and oyster bar across from Washington Park is officially open. On its opening night, I dined there with a friend, and we were very impressed with the food, service, wine, and atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back.
The Anchor is a wonderful and delicious addition to the Cincinnati dining scene. The fact that it’s in Over-the-Rhine across from beautiful Washington Park and Music Hall takes it to a whole other level. Congrats to husband/wife team Derek and Jocelyn Dos Anjos! Welcome to OTR!
Connect with The Anchor-OTR via facebook and twitter. It’s open at the corner of Race and 14th Street Tues-Thurs 5-10pm and Fri-Sat 5-11pm. There is on-street parking as well as a Washington Park’s 450 space underground parking garage directly across the street.
Here are some photos from its opening night by Vital Photography.

Here are some exterior photos I took the night before The Anchor opened:
And a few pics from dinner on its opening night:

Started with the clam chowder. If there’s one seafood dish I know, it’s clam chowder and The Anchor’s is some of the best I’ve ever had

The Anchor’s fish and chips – amazing
