If you’ve visited Second Sunday on Main this summer, you’ve probably seen BaserMatter. Its unique presence is hard to miss.
Founded by Jeff Welch and Nathan Currier-Groh in 2011, BaserMatter is an experimental design studio specializing in custom products, interiors and architecture. Services offered include:
- Design – Both industrial design and architectural services on commission as well as a growing offering of limited production, customized products.
- CNC Routing – 4×8 sheet material profile cutting and 3D material carving up to 6” thick
- Printing – 36” width, – Watercolor, Lithograph and Photo papers as well as Canvas and Veneers
- Laser Cutting – Coming soon!
Several people have inquired about a place capable of creating large prints of all sorts of things – from poster collages to these beautiful, historic photos of Cincinnati. BaserMatter is my first recommendation. Learn more about its pricing, printing schedule and available materials here.
When I visited the studio recently, Jeff and Nathan were working with a client who wanted a custom modular shelving unit. Here’s a snapshot of their product:
